Jo is a Community Coordinator and her role involves working with people in Hackney who want to get involved in all the activities, especially if they have been feeling isolated or lonely.
Jo has lived in Hackney for over 20 years and has a good knowledge of the local area. She has always worked in community settings and has previously been a play worker and mentor. In her precious spare time Jo DJ's on a radio show once a month called Reel Rebels radio, a local community station, and runs a club night with a group of fellow DJ's called 'Mind the Gap', addressing the need of older people wanting to dance who felt 'too old for Dalston but too young for Wetherspoon’s'! The money raised on the door is donated to local causes.
Jo began working for Shoreditch Trust in January 2015 and is passionate about the Trust’s commitment to addressing social inequality.
